Heather Hook has been involved in the events industry since 2008, working on a variety of projects in her time, including some of the leading events in Southern Africa including Oil & Gas Africa, Petro.t.ex and a number of community based events such as The ACSA Disability Expo, the HPASA Healthy Living Expo and The SAITEX and Project Finance Conferences.
Heather has worked alongside The Demartini Institute as Events Manager for Dr. John Demartini, an internationally recognised human behavioural specialist and educator, as well as being a part of the team at The Foundation for Professional Development as Senior Programme Manager on The 6th SA AIDS Conference and others.Today Heather and Haiku Events are working with some of the top business speakers locally and abroad, amongst them Brian Walsh, Billy Selekane, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Loral Langemeier, Raymond Aaron, JT Foxx and others.Haiku Events is fast becoming recognised as one of the leading events management companies in South Africa, through its involvement with international and local speakers, and the quality of events and productions managed.

Sorea Vermeulen

Sorea Head and Shoulders

Sorea Vermeulen is the latest addition to the growing team compliment at Haiku Events. Sorea fills the position of Events Manager, and comes from a litigation and law background and her unwaivering eye for detail, team management and strong administration skills made her the ultimate candidate for the position.Sorea will be handling our key accounts and clients, with the professionalism and aplomb for which she is reknowned.

Ralene Levy


Ralene joins the team at Haiku Events in the position of Administration Assistant. Ralene studied Fashion Design, before branching in to the Cellular and VoIP industry, managing administration and accounts at Autopage Cellular, Nashua Mobile and Nashua Communications.

Ralene has over 27 years work experience and her dedication to the precision and excellence offered at Haiku Events is  a great fit for the team.

Events Team

Our Events Team love what they do – young and energetic, most are part time with the company between their studies. All events staff have received basic events management specific training. Loyal and trustworthy, the boys and girls who work at Haiku Events make sure that all events run as seamlessly as possible.Our belief that there is no I in TEAM – and this is constantly shown by their outstanding work and team ethic.
